Hello, my name is Matthew Keenan and I am a Senior Consultant in IBM’s Global Business Services Strategy and Transformation group. I am a Fightin’ Texas Aggie, class of 2010, Whoop! Unlike my fellow blogger Elliott, I bleed Maroon, and will till’ I die. I graduated from the Mays Business School with a double major of Supply Chain Management and Marketing.
I have now performed as a consultant for 2.5 years and been afforded a multitude of interesting client facing opportunities. My work has centered on areas such as strategic sourcing, category management, change management, and most recently procurement transformation projects. I have worked in New Orleans, Connecticut, Baltimore, Houston, and most recently the bustling metropolis of Jackson, MS….
Enough about work, why am I writing this message? The answer- to stay relevant, and bring the concept of relevancy to the front lines of your mind. I am new to blogging, and that is a key fact in this mission. My friends push me to stay relevant, and conquer new things I am not necessarily familiar with or good at. I hope I return the favor on a regular basis, like taking Elliott down his first black Diamond, or getting Josh to hit a new PR in the gym. I believe this is how you can harness inner ambition to achieve your potential in life.
The world is changing, knowledge is no longer power. Knowledge sharing is power. To stay relevant, we must share our insights and knowledge on areas of interest and expertise to spread the pursuit of relevancy.
Someone once told me if you are resting on your laurels, you are going backwards. I believe that.
Fun stuff about me:
I love to travel, even though I do it for work every week. Those who know me know I am not in Dallas very often.
Activities: Working out, snow skiing, wake-boarding, and golf.
Favorite radio station: BPM on Sirius, get your glow-sticks.
Websites I like:
Until next time, stay relevant!
You didn’t take me down my first black diamond… You freaking NURSED me down my first black diamond hahaha.
You must like me a lot because you missed your opportunity to kill me off and make it look like an accident. Suckerrrr
